Verse:001
Abdul Daryabadi : Hast thou seen him who denies the Requital?
Dr. Mohsin : Have you seen him who denies the Recompense?
Mufti Taqi Usmani : Have you seen him who denies the Requital?
Pickthal : Hast thou observed him who belieth religion?
Yusuf Ali : Seest thou one who denies the Judgment (to come)?


Verse:002
Abdul Daryabadi : It is he who pushes away the orphan,
Dr. Mohsin : That is he who repulses the orphan (harshly),[]
Mufti Taqi Usmani : So, he is the one who pushes away the orphan,
Pickthal : That is he who repelleth the orphan,
Yusuf Ali : Then such is the (man) who repulses the orphan (with harshness),


Verse:003
Abdul Daryabadi : and does not urge the feeding of the poor.
Dr. Mohsin : And urges not on the feeding of AlMiskîn (the poor),[]
Mufti Taqi Usmani : And does not persuade (others) to feed the needy. [QETafseerComment]
Pickthal : And urgeth not the feeding of the needy.
Yusuf Ali : And encourages not the feeding of the indigent.


Verse:004
Abdul Daryabadi : So woe be to such performers of prayers.
Dr. Mohsin : So woe unto those performers of Salât (prayers) (hypocrites),
Mufti Taqi Usmani : So, Woe to those performers of Salah ,
Pickthal : Ah, woe unto worshippers
Yusuf Ali : So woe to the worshippers


Verse:005
Abdul Daryabadi : as are heedless of their prayers.
Dr. Mohsin : Those who delay their Salât (prayer from their stated fixed times),
Mufti Taqi Usmani : Who are neglectful of their Salah, [QETafseerComment]
Pickthal : Who are heedless of their prayer;
Yusuf Ali : Who are neglectful of their Prayers,


Verse:006
Abdul Daryabadi : they who would be seen;
Dr. Mohsin : Those who do good deeds only to be seen (of men),
Mufti Taqi Usmani : Who (do good only to) show off,
Pickthal : Who would be seen (at worship)
Yusuf Ali : Those who (want but) to be seen (of men),


Verse:007
Abdul Daryabadi : and who withhold even the common necessaries from others.
Dr. Mohsin : And prevent Al-Mâ'ûn (small kindnesses like salt, sugar, water).
Mufti Taqi Usmani : And refuse (to give even) small gifts. [QETafseerComment]
Pickthal : Yet refuse small kindnesses!
Yusuf Ali : But refuse (to supply) (Even) neighbourly needs.
