Verse:001
Abdul Daryabadi : By the chargers panting,
Dr. Mohsin : By the (steeds) that run, with panting.
Mufti Taqi Usmani : I swear) by those (horses) that run snorting,
Pickthal : By the snorting coursers,
Yusuf Ali : By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath),


Verse:002
Abdul Daryabadi : and the striking sparks of fire by dashing their hoofs,
Dr. Mohsin : Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves),
Mufti Taqi Usmani : Then those that create sparks by striking (their hoofs) on the stones,
Pickthal : Striking sparks of fire
Yusuf Ali : And strike sparks of fire,


Verse:003
Abdul Daryabadi : and raiding at dawn,
Dr. Mohsin : And scouring to the raid at dawn.
Mufti Taqi Usmani : Then those that invade at morning,
Pickthal : And scouring to the raid at dawn,
Yusuf Ali : And push home the charge in the morning,


Verse:004
Abdul Daryabadi : and therein raising dust,
Dr. Mohsin : And raise the dust in clouds the while,
Mufti Taqi Usmani : Then raise, at the same time, a trail of dust,
Pickthal : Then, therewith, with their trail of dust,
Yusuf Ali : And raise the dust in clouds the while,


Verse:005
Abdul Daryabadi : and cleaving therein their way unto the host,
Dr. Mohsin : Penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe);
Mufti Taqi Usmani : Then enter, at the same time, into the centre of the (opposing) host,
Pickthal : Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe),
Yusuf Ali : And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse―


Verse:006
Abdul Daryabadi : verily man is ungrateful to his Lord.
Dr. Mohsin : Verily, man (disbeliever) is ungrateful to his Lord;
Mufti Taqi Usmani : Man is, indeed, very ungrateful to his Lord, [QETafseerComment]
Pickthal : Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord
Yusuf Ali : Truly Man is, to his Lord, ungrateful;


Verse:007
Abdul Daryabadi : And to that he is a witness.
Dr. Mohsin : And to that he bears witness (by his deeds);
Mufti Taqi Usmani : And he himself is a witness to that fact,
Pickthal : And lo! he is a witness unto that;
Yusuf Ali : And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds);


Verse:008
Abdul Daryabadi : And he is vehement in the love of wealth.
Dr. Mohsin : And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth
Mufti Taqi Usmani : And in his love for wealth, he is very intense.
Pickthal : And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent.
Yusuf Ali : And violent is he in his love of wealth.


Verse:009
Abdul Daryabadi : Does he not know --- when what is in the graves shall be ransacked?
Dr. Mohsin : Knows he not that when the contents of the graves are poured forth (all mankind is resurrected)?
Mufti Taqi Usmani : Does he not then know (what will happen) when all that is contained in the graves will be overturned,
Pickthal : Knoweth he not that, when the contents of the graves are poured forth
Yusuf Ali : Does he not know― when that which is in the graves is Scattered abroad


Verse:010
Abdul Daryabadi : and what is in the breasts shall be brought to light?
Dr. Mohsin : And that which is in the breasts (of men) is made known?
Mufti Taqi Usmani : And all that is contained in the hearts will be exposed. [QETafseerComment]
Pickthal : And the secrets of the breasts are made known,
Yusuf Ali : And that which is (locked up) in (human) breasts is made manifest―


Verse:011
Abdul Daryabadi : Verily their Lord that Day shall be well-apprised of them.
Dr. Mohsin : Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds and will reward them for their deeds).
Mufti Taqi Usmani : Surely your Lord, that day, is fully aware of them.
Pickthal : On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them.
Yusuf Ali : That their Lord had been well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day?
